Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli


Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are a couple who left the media and their fans pleasantly surprised when the news of their secret wedding on December 11, 2017 broke the internet. According to the reports, Anushka considers Aditya Chopra her mentor and it was him who suggested her to go for an abroad wedding in order to avoid the media attention. While Anushka Sharma is from the Bollywood Industry, Virat Kohli is the Indian Cricket Team captain and their marriage was much awaited by all of their fans. While this had their families and close friends only, the couple celebrated it in a big way by throwing not one but two wedding receptions for their near and dear ones back home.

Madhuri Dixit and Dr. Sriram Nene
The Dhak-Dhak girl broke many hearts as she went on to marry a non-celebrity, a cardiovascular surgeon, Sriram Nene. Madhuri was at the peak of her Bollywood career when she chose to be the wife of a regular person and settle in Denver, USA with him.

The couple got married on October 17, 1999; their eldest son was born in 2003. Madhuri, who is now a mother of two sons seems happy choosing selective roles for her films while devoting the rest of her time to her family. As the couple is now settled in Mumbai, their glimpse on award functions and several events does help in keeping their fans ecstatic. Madhuri Dixit will be seen opposite Sanjay Dutt in Kalank.

John Abraham and Priya Runchal
While fans were still grieving his separation from Bipasha Basu, John broke the news of his nuptials with Priya Runchal through an eluding Tweet in January 2014. Priya, an investment banker, reportedly met husband John via common friends. The two had tied the knot two months after knowing each other.

But the couple soon caught much attention as their friendship grew from working out in the same local gym to being seen together holding arms at several public events. It seems even John learned his lesson after dating a celebrity for so long and thus settled with a person from different walks of life.

Emraan Hashmi and Parveen Shahani
Emraan Hashmi who has come a long way from movies like Footpath to Ghanchakkar and now The Dirty Picture. Emraan Hashmi is believed to be a complete family man back home. Emraan married his long-time girlfriend, Priya Shahani, a teacher in a pre-school even as he is known to lip-lock his co-actresses and has much of a playboy image in Bollywood.

Theirs was another inter-faith marriage where Priya belonged to a Sindhi family but got married to Emraan in an Islamic wedding ceremony. Much contrary to his movie plots showing him pecking kisses on several actresses and having multiple affairs, Emraan believes that Priya is the love of his life with whom he can share his entire life. He is also a doting father for his son, Ayaan.

Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough
Preity Zinta gave a very pleasant surprise to her fans as she confirmed the news of her secret marriage with US-based Gene Goodenough by introducing him on the social media with an additional caption, “Let the Goodenough jokes begin.’

The diva got married with Gene in an intimate wedding ceremony in Los Angeles in March, 2016 and their wedding portrait is proof enough, it was the wedding of her dreams. Decked up in a red lehenga with traditional jewellery, Preity made for a royal Rajasthani bride in a Manish Malhotra lehenga while Gene decked up in a western-tone sherwani. The couple hosted a grand wedding reception in Mumbai to celebrate their nuptials with the B-town.

Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor
When the yesteryear star also known as Jumping Jack Jeetendra was rumoured to like Hema Malini, he chose to marry someone out of the showbiz industry – Shobha Kapoor who then worked with the British Airways as an Air Hostess. Shobha Kapoor’s involvement with the glamour world (TV and films) has only begun with her daughter, Ekta Kapoor’s TV serial production career.

Shahid Kapoor, The charming actor dropped the marriage bomb on the media. The actor got married to Mira Rajput, who at that time had just completed her graduation from LSR college in Delhi. Mira and Shahid met in a religious group that they both follow. According to the grapevine, the couple dated each other for quite some time before they decided to get engaged in January 2015. They now have a beautiful daughter, Misha who was born in August 2016.

Imran Khan was one of those celebrities who came into Bollywood with a committed relationship status. Starting out at the age of 19, Imran’s relationship with Avantika Malik turned into marriage in 2011, and then into parenthood in 2014 with the birth of their daughter, Imara.
