Here’s how Alia Bhatt felt while working with her mother

Date:

Alia Bhatt was at the launch of the first song ‘Áe Watan’ from her upcoming Meghna Gulzar directorial ‘Raazi’. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal who is playing the role of Alia’s husband who is a Pakistani army official.

At the event, when Alia was asked about her experience of sharing the screen space with her real-life mother Soni Razdan, who is playing Alia’s reel life mother in the movie, the actress revealed,

“Actually, I was very nervous, not for myself but for her. I used to be worried whether mom has memorised the dialogues because if she forgets I will be nervous but after doing a scene with her I realised that obviously, she has worked way more than I have and she is a much better actor than I am.  She was not stressed. In fact, she was very chilled out. I am very happy that mom joined us on the last leg of the film in Kashmir.”

The film is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel ‘Calling Sehmat,’ which narrates the story of Indian spy Sehmat married to a Pakistani army official during India-Pakistan war of 1971. Alia plays the role of Sehmat, a young Indian who is planted as a spy in Pakistan. ‘Raazi’ will hit theatres on May 11.

Post ‘Raazi’  Alia has two other biggies ‘Gully Boy’ and ‘Brahmastra’ in her kitty.
