‘Game Of Thrones,’ being HBO’s most popular television series, is viewed by millions of fans worldwide and is one of the most viewed series in history.
The epic drama, which narrates the story of Seven Kingdoms of Westeros based on George R. R. Martin’s ‘A Song Of Ice And Fire’ novels, has captured viewers for seven long years. The series is currently in its eighth season consisting of six episodes, which is expected to premiere sometime in 2019.
As per Game Of Canada, roughly 1,74,373 deaths have occurred on screen between season one and season seven.
Furthermore, an estimated $7000 (£5200) had been spent on wigs worn by the lead characters of the show. As much as $500,000 (£372,820) was paid to actors for each episode of the show. The list of actors include Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), and Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister).
The show’s most-loved character, Jon Snow receives as much as 338 minutes of screen time during the seven seasons. The report further adds that over 16.5 million viewers have watched the seventh season of ‘Game of Thrones.’ Interestingly, over 300 girls were named Arya in England and Wales last year based on Arya Stark’s character from the series.
