Kareena Kapoor all set to replace Priyanka Chopra

Date:

If reports are to be believed, Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to replace Priyanka Chopra in astronaut Rakesh Sharma’s biopic which reportedly stars Shah Rukh Khan.

According to reports, after Shah Rukh Khan replaced Aamir Khan in the film, it is now the film’s leading lady’s turn to make way for another actress. Earlier it was reported that Aamir Khan will play the role of Rakesh Sharma in the biopic tentatively titled ‘Salute’ and Priyanka Chopra would star opposite the actor.

One would remember that Priyanka was once rumoured to be in a secret relationship with Shah Rukh Khan, during the shoot of ‘Don 2’. The rumours soon died down, but the two stars never worked with each other thereafter.

With the latest reports of Kareena replacing Priyanka emerging, we wonder if it has anything to do with Shah Rukh and Priyanka’s alleged history. However, according to a news publication, a source has denied the rumours, although hinting that the project was indeed discussed with Kareena.

According to the publication’s source, there are several offers, roles and films discussed with actors but not all of these discussions materialise into films on the big screen and ‘Salute’ is surely not on the menu for Kareena. Kareena Kapoor Khan has shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Ra.One’ (2011),  ‘Don’ (2006) & ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (2001).
