The Trump marriage has been mired in conspiracy theories and reports of “cooling-off” due to the surfacing of the US President’s alleged affair with a porn-star Stormy Daniels son after their son, Baron was born.
The first couple’s relationship has been fodder for international scrutiny and gossip for months now. There have been umpteen videos of the First Lady swatting-off her husband’s hand in public and of her stiff body language when he is around. She has also been accused of being disinterested and the recent tel-all book, Fire and Fury even went to the extent of saying that Malania was extremely unhappy to know of Trump’s election as the President of America.
Therefore, when the President joked at a rally today on White House departures saying, he was not sure who would leave next: “Miller or Melania.” A lot of eyebrows were raised setting off the gossip mills overtime.
However, the President was speaking on the accomplishments on the First Lady as a “blue ribbon” study committee member. He said that the life of the First Lady of the United States (US), Melania Trump, was “not so easy”.
Speaking at a Pennsylvania campaign rally, Trump discussed the opioid addiction in the country, the measures being considered to counter the problem and the First Lady’s contribution in it.
On the subject of his wife, Melania, he said, “Great First Lady. She’s great. You think her life is so easy, folks? Not so easy.”
Speaking on the problem of opioids in the country Donald Trump said, “We put Melania and other people on this blue ribbon committee. Do you think the drug dealers that kill thousands of people during their lifetime, do you think they care who is on a blue ribbon committee?”
Expressing his opinion on the opioid crisis, he said, “The only way to solve the drug problem is through toughness. When you catch a drug dealer, you’ve got to put him away for a long time.”
But, though the President was speaking on a real issue, the tabloids were busy churning their own chapter in the Trump-Melania-Stormy saga based on his joke about the string of departures from his administration.
Hope all is well in the White House and the First Lady’s also not actually thinking of throwing the gauntlet in.
