Twitter video showing woman’s desperate plea to save her from husband goes viral

A woman based in Mumbai sought help via Twitter by posting a video, where she was crying and requesting people to help her. The video was later retweeted by filmmaker Ashoke Pandit asking to help her.

The woman, who is a resident of Khar in Mumbai, claims that she has been mentally and physically tortured by her husband. She claimed that she had registered a complaint with the Mumbai Police but to no avail.

The woman alleges that her husband has been lacerating her for several years and that she has been in this marriage for the betterment of her children. She also claims that her husband has been having an affair and also gambles.

Furthermore, the woman claims that she registered a complaint with Khar police but no action has been taken so far. At the end of the video, the woman demands action against her husband.

“Kindly help me, because this man will torture me mentally and end up my life. If I don’t get justice I will end up tomorrow in the streets of Khar. Please give me justice,” the woman said in the video.

The police official said to PTI that this a case of domestic dispute.

“The couple has three children and stay in a duplex apartment in Khar. While the husband and two kids stay on the eleventh floor, the woman along with their daughter stay on the 12th floor,” the officer said to PTI.

He also said that the woman has registered two cases against her husband, for housebreaking and criminal intimidation. The official said that necessary action will be taken in the case.
