Ryan murder case: Section 75 of Juvenile Justice Act invoked

Gurugram Commissioner of Police Sandeep Khirwar on Sunday said that section 75 of Juvenile Justice Act has been invoked in the murder case of seven-year-old student of Ryan International School.

The Commissioner of Police told the media that anyone found guilty in this case will be booked under relevant sections.

Earlier in the day, the Gurugram Police lathi-charged people protesting outside Ryan International School.

This incident took place after the protesters set ablaze a liquor shop near the school in Gurugram.

A Gurugram Court on Friday sent the accused, involved in the murder of the seven-year old student, to three days of police remand.

The accused was nabbed after the body of the class II student was found inside the toilet of the school, with his throat slit, on Friday.

The principal of the Gurugram-based school was suspended following this incident.

Haryana Education Minister assures speedy justice in Ryan student’s death case

Gurugram: Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Sunday assured strict action against management and owner of the Ryan International School authorities, where a seven-year-old was brutally murdered.

Addressing the media, Sharma blamed the school management and said that the state government will show no leniency to those behind the murder.

“Action has been taken against the management and owner of Ryan International School. Under Section 75 Juvenile Act, action will be taken against school management. The accused will be presented before court within a week,” he added.

He further said the government was open to a CBI probe in the heinous crime.

“If parents are dissatisfied with the police investigation, then Haryana government will order CBI probe,” he added.

The Haryana Education Minister also informed that the future of 1200 students cannot be put at stake so the government will not de-recognise Ryan International School.

He said that the government has decided to shut down the liquor shop outside the school.

Meanwhile, the Haryana Police lathicharged protesters outside the school in which ANI crew was injured during the coverage of the protest.

Angry parents and locals gathered outside the school premises since early morning to express dissatisfaction over the investigation being carried out by the Gurgaon Police.

Seven-year-old Pradyuman, a student of Class II, was killed by the school bus conductor, who was arrested on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Simardeep Singh said the accused tried to sexual assault the boy but killed when he tried to resist.

 

Ryan murder case: My son is falsely framed, forced to confess, says accused’s father

Gurugram : “My son has been falsely framed,” said the father of the accused, who has been arrested for brutally murdering a seven-year-old student of Ryan International School in Gurugram.

While pleading for his son’s innocence, the father alleged that the school authority has forced his son to accept the crime.

“My son is being falsely framed. My son is innocent; people have forcefully made him accept this crime,” the father of the accused bus conductor told the media.

He further said that the owners of the school are misleading the case.

“He did not say anything started crying. The school authority has falsely framed charges against him,” said the father.

The sister of accused bus conductor also blamed the school authority for forcing his brother to accept the crime and said that the school principal has bribed the police to make a false case.

Meanwhile, the school authorities, represented by Acting Principal Neerja Batra, assured that security measures will be reviewed immediately and all necessary improvements would be made.

“Following the tragic incident at our school yesterday, the school authorities have seriously taken up the review of the security measures at the school. All necessary improvements and measures are being audited and reinforced with the help of experts. We are also seeking advice from the Police department to guide us in this regard,” the official notice of the school said.

“While, we are all in great shock and grief at the loss of life of our beloved student Pradhyuman Thakur, we are taking these steps simultaneously to ensure vigorous safety measures in place for all our students and staff. We are closely working with the investigating authorities so that we could be guided further with their expertise,” it further noted.

Earlier, the principal of the Gurugram-based school was suspended, the lawyer of the victim’s parents said.

Ryan murder case: Father of victim demands parallel CBI inquiry

Gurugram : Varun Thakur, father of the seven-year-old student, who was brutally murdered at Ryan International School on Sunday, demanded a parallel CBI inquiry in the matter to get to reveal the entire truth.

Thakur said that the entire incident took place so fast that it is obvious to suspect the entire episode to be pre-planned.

“Police is doing its job. I just want to request a parallel CBI inquiry so that every detail related to the case is revealed,” he said.

The boy’s father also requested the protesters to keep their calm and not to get involved in any kind of violence.

Thakur’s statement came after people protesting outside the school set ablaze a liquor shop near the school and as a result police lathicharged them.

“I want to request all the parents supporting us to not get involved in any kind of violence. I have lost my child; don’t want to other to get hurt. Vandalizing things are not correct,” Thakur told the reporters here.
