With the Panchkula court giving its verdict in the Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh case on August 25, colleges and universities in Gurugram will be closed, according to an announcement made by the District Administration Gurugram on Thursday.
The District Administration also stated that schools will remain open and will function as normal. Additionally, government and private offices will also remain open on Friday.
With regard to bus services, only bus services to Chandigarh and Panchkula will be suspended on August 25. Buses will continue to operate on other routes. Internet services will also not be suspended in Gurugram.
Section 144 will be imposed in Haryana on August 25 as the Panchkula court will give its verdict in the case against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Ram Rahim faces charges of rape and sexual exploitation. Internet and cellular services will be suspended in Panchkula district on Friday.
