Indian bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has emerged as the world’s number one all-rounder in the recent ICC rankings with 438 points, after his ravishing performance in the second Test match against Sri Lanka, where he took 7 wickets and scored a half century. Jadeja edge passed Bangladesh’s all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan (431 points) to claim the top spot.
Jadeja who is also the number one Test bowler managed to improve his ranking when it comes to batting by 9 places and is now ranked 51. His teammate R Ashwin is at the third position in all-rounders with 418 points. Moen Ali and Ben Stokes of England is followed R Ashwin at the 4th and 5th place respectively.
The ranks of Indian batsmen also improved significantly. Cheteshwar Pujara moved to the third rank after his knock of 133 against Sri Lanka. Indian opener Ajinkya Rahane has jumped from 11th place to 5th spot in ICC Test batsmen ranking.
