Airlines have decided to slash their air fares ahead of the lean season which will start this June end.

IndiGo has already started offering low prices for its Airline across destinations. The special monsoon sale is on from 12-14 June with special offers in selected destinations starting at just Rs 899 on the selected routes of, including Mumbai-Goa, Jammu-Amritsar, Delhi-Udaipur, Ahmedabad-Mumbai, Chennai-Port Blair, Hyderabad-Mumbai, Kolkata-Agartala, Delhi-Coimbatore, and Goa-Chennai.
“We are delighted to announce another 3-day Monsoon Special Offer. We are anticipating an increase in demand beyond summer vacations and are pleased to introduce special fares,” said COO, IndiGo Airlines.
Fares for Delhi-Mumbai route, which is generally around Rs 7800 could be bought at a heavy bargain of as low as Rs 2100 all inclusive for July.

GoAir is offering similar price for bookings of next month. Jet Airways gave a similar last week when it gave Rs 1111 flat fares for selected destinations for bookings in the month of July. The lean season comes after the peak season of April-June with summer vacations during these months, there is a low demand for airline passenger carriers after that.
