Airbus, the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer, is planning to make their A380 even bigger now. The largest passenger airplane which already measures a whopping 262 feet across, will now have a larger wingspan.

Airbus can tack on 16 feet winglets on each wing to cut drag and increase efficiency and will also reduce fuel burn by 4%. Airbus president Fabrice Bregier said that they will not have an A380 Neo (New Engine Option) but will have the winglet feature as an add-on for airlines that want it.

The aircraft is best known for its complete double decker lay out and can carry 525 passengers, and 853 in an all economy seating plan. The A380 is also known for its luxury-having private suites and The Residence (Etihad Airlines) to bars and social areas as well.
