Leap Year
From open Irish fields to majestic castles, every aspect of this movie inspires travel. The main characters, Anna and Decklan played by Amy Adams and Matthew Goode, drive through the Irish countryside from a small village to the great city of Dublin. It’s the ultimate movie to make you want to take a road trip across the most beautiful and scenic country famous for its beer, landscapes and castles. One of my favorite scenes is the last one, showing the breathtaking cliffs in the village of Dingle and a spectacular sunset.

Letters to Juliet
The city of Verona in Italy is the definition of beautiful with its expansive vineyards, gorgeous architecture and mouth watering food. It is also home to Shakespeare’s Juliet and has the Casa Di Guiletta (Castle of Juliet) which is where thousands of women write to the fictional Juliet about the problems in their love life. When Sophie, played by Amanda Seyfried, stumbles upon a fifty year old letter about the long lost love of Claire Smith, she immediately writes back to her. What ensues is a romantic and sensational search for Claire’s long lost lover through the spectacular countryside of Italy.

Chasing Liberty
A movie that covers the most phenomenal parts of Europe, it’s definitely every travelers dream. It’s the story about the First Daughter of the United States who, fed up of constant security and no freedom, runs away from Prague to go to the Berlin love parade. The movie very beautifully showcases the city of Prague, Venice and Berlin and highlights what a gem Europe actually is. Taking the euro rail, bungee jumping and sailing through the canals of Venice, the movie has all that which makes one want to travel.

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani

One of the most incredible Bollywood movies, it always instils a desire to take off. Whether it’s the stunning trek through Manali with friends, or Kabir’s adventures around the world as a photographer, this movie never fails to put a smile on your face. Kabir Thapar, played by Ranbir Kapoor, has a love for travel and adventure like nobody else. His quote in the movie, “Mein udna chahta hoon, dodna chahta hoon, girna bhi chahta hoon” will make you want to be adventurous and live your life to the fullest and travel is the best way to do just that.

Eat Pray Love
This movie will make you believe in travel and will show you travel in a way that you have never seen before. Julia Roberts’ performance is just short of heavenly in this brilliant movie about food, spirituality and finding true love. It takes us through the journey of a writer trying to find herself as she spends an entire year in three countries — Italy, India and Bali. She goes to Italy to experience cuisine as never before, India to find religion and Bali to visit an old and special friend. The travel experience of the character, Elizabeth, is the ultimate goal of every traveler.
