How UK goofed up to stop the Manchester bomber

The recent suicide bombing in Manchester shook the world. Ariana Grande concert turned into a nightmare after the blast. After this tragic event, counter-terrorism agencies raised many questions which prove UK security forces are improvident to tackle such threats.

The suicide bomber was constantly flagged off for his extremist view, but it was not taken seriously by the officers. Reportedly Salman Abedi said “It was okay to be a suicide bomber” which prompted his friends to contact the anti-terrorism hotline, still, no actions were taken by the security officials.

Authorities were informed five times in last five years about the threat posed by dangerous ideologies of Salman Abedi according to the reports.

Salman Abedi was also on the watch list because of his radical thoughts, Once he was sent to anti-radicalisation programme by the Didsbury Mosque due to his dangerous thought process.

Even Abedi’s own family raised flags against him and they contacted the police but against it was too little a threat for the security forces to act upon.

Abedi frequently traveled between UK and Libya and Syria where he learned how to make bombs according to few. It was not enough for introspection or to raise any alarms.

Abedi’s younger brother Hashim has already been investigated by Libyan forces for one and a half month for his links to ISIS. he said that just before the final act he knew something is wrong in Manchester and he got know instantly that it was his brother behind this bombing.

Some serious questions are been raised against the security agency of one of the most powerful nations of the world.
