This new Vicks advertisement will give you goosebumps

Date:

Vicks touches upon two controversial topics – adoption and transgenders in a new three-minute long ad for the company,  – as it beautifully binds a story out of both.

We all know Vicks as the go-to ointment to use whenever we feel sick. Some of us might even have memories of our moms applying that familiar-smelling ointment on us, even as we lie down in bed whining about having a fever.

Well-placed nostalgia aside, Vicks might just be known for a lot more as it puts out a powerful ad which is based on the evolving concepts of family in this new day and age.

The video opens up with a girl talking about her close relationship with her adoptive mother, and the ‘motherly’ feeling she gets whenever she’s around.

If you were having a bad day, this video might just be able to warm your heart and light your face up with a smile. In fact, this ad can be a stepping stone to being more open about such issues.
