In a bizarre scene, Flowers have been used to pay respect, by Indians since eternity. Wether its to be offered to Gods in temples or when we get married to each other, flowers are an integral part of Indian culture. But there’s an enormous difference between putting a garland on a person and doing the same to a picture of the person. For those who don’t know the latter is done to pay respects to the deceased.
Looks a BJP Mayor got a little confused at a function. In an epic goof up, Indore Mayor Malini Gaud wife of former MP Cabinet Minister Late Laxman Singh Gaud, accidentally paid floral tributes to PM Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan during a function.
At the event at her house, the mayor put a garland on the picture of her deceased husband. After which she did the same for the pictures of PM and the CM which were right next to.
Jitendra ‘Jitu’ Patwari, a Congress MLA from Rau constituency brought up the issue to light. He also added that the mayor should have been more attentive considering she herself is a member of the BJP.
