Until wireless charging becomes totally practical, we’re stuck with regular wires. But if we do have to get down at the nearest outlet by a USB cord for the foreseeable future, it may as well be a fast one. At the MWV (mobile World Congress) 2017 Meizu announced that its new Super mCharge technology might be the fastest charging solution we have ever seen yet.
Super m Charge is rated at 55W which is dramatically more powerful than Motorola‘s 28.5W Turbo Power or Qualcomm’s 18W quick charge 3.0 methods. According to Meizu enough to fully charge a 3000mAh Super mCharge rated battery in just 20 minutes, which is definitely impressive if it really does work that way in reality. Especially in a world where lasting phone batteries are a great concern, Meizu promises that Super mCharge batteries will only reach around 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
Meizu hasn’t yet announced any phones that will come with Super mCharge, but it’s presumably only a matter of time until we see the speedy charging technology in our devices.
