Bajaj ups the stake with 400cc Dominar

Bajaj launched its most powerful motorcycle yet Bajaj Dominar on Thursday. Dominar was the much awaited bike which was shown in 2014 Auto Expo as CS400.

Dominar is priced at 1.40 lakhs for the base variant without ABS and 1.60 lakhs with Dual ABS (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
The Bike specifications carries 373cc, liquid-cool, fuel-injected, single cylinder, triple spark engine which produces 34.4bhp at 8000rpm and 35Nm torque at 6500rpm.

Bajaj Claims top speed of Dominar is 148km/hour which accelerates 0-100 in 8.2 seconds which makes it the fastest Bajaj ever with 6speed gearbox.

The Dominar weighs 182 kilograms which is heavier than its current competitor and reigning champion in the segment KTM 390.

The upgraded braking system with 320mm with Bybre four-caliper in the front and 260mm with single-piston caliper in the rear. Along with ABS Bajaj claims the Dominar can come from 100km/hour to standstill before 46 metres.

The cut-throat pricing for Dominar can be a factor to watch out for in comparison to other 300 plus cc bikes. The bike looks meaner and masculine when it comes to design.
