‘We try to make a good song rather than a hit song’, says Salim to NewsMobile

Recently NewsMobile had an opportunity to interview the music stalwarts of Bollywood Salim-Sulaiman. They were present in Gurgaon for the launch of a musical extravaganza “Beyond Bollywood” composed by them. The show was launched in Kingdom of Dreams.

The duo has been famous for treating the audience with mesmerising compositions from their closet time and again.  Beyond Bollywood is a grand theatrical experience that brings a mighty mix of masala, culture and Bollywood.

Apart from the launch of the show the enigmatic pair gave an exclusive interview to NewsMobile expressing  their musical journey of Beyond Bollywood as well as the current music industry of Bollywood.

They were candid on answering all the questions and gave a clear picture of present scenario in Bollywood.

“The inspiration behind this project was the rich culture of India. We wanted to amalgamate the roots of our Indian cultural music with Bollywood essence and present before the audience”, said the duo.

They presented their views in several issues of Bollywood music from ages until now. Watch the full interview

Mentioning about their future projects Sulaiman said that;

“We are composing mucic for a small budget movie call “Poorna”, a liitle directed and produced by Rahul Bose.He has also acted in the movie. The film is about the youngest  girl scaling Mount Everest. “

We are looking forward to this unique project of the maestros of Bollywood.
