Lucknow: In a major reshuffle in the state police set up, Uttar Pradesh government tonight transferred 70 IPS officers including police chiefs of over two dozen districts.
Four IAS officers have also been shifted by the government.

A Home Department release issued here said the Kanpur, Mathura, Ballia, Hathras, Faizabad, Moradabad, Allahabad, Muzaffarnagar and Ghaziabad police chiefs have been moved among others.

SSP Kanpur, Shalabh Mathur, has been made the new Senior Superintendent of Police, Allahabad, replacing Joginder Kumar who goes to Moradabad in the same capacity, the release said.
SSP Badaun Sunil Kumar Saxena has been made SP of Mainpuri.
