Hazrat Ibrahimstands as an epitome of sacrifice. Let us on the Festival ofSacrifice resolve to promote the spirit of sharing and givingand develop oneness and unity among all," Rao said. "I convey my heartiest greetings to all my Muslim Brethrenand wish them happy, healthy and prosperous life," he said ina Raj Bhavan statement. Jayalalithaa said that Bakrid symbolised sacrificinganything for the supreme lord and praised Ibrahim’s sacrificeand dedication. If the preachings of Koran such as feeding the poor,forgiveness and charity were followed in letter and spiritthere will be love and humanity all over the world, she said.
