Duo held for possesing 15 kgs of sandalwood bits

Coimbatore, Aug 30 (PTI): Fifteen kg of sandalwood bitswere seized today by police from two men on a motorcyle on theoutskirts of the city. A police patrol noticed the duo moving around in asuspicious manner in in Kanjikonampalayam around 5.30 AM andtrying to take a diversion on seeing them. Police gave chase and nabbed them with the help of somemembers of the public. A search revealed the sandalwood bits wrapped in clothes. Both were taken to custody, police said, adding thevehicle and the sandalwood were impounded. The value of the seized sandalwood bits was notimmediately known. PTI NVM APRAPR
