Light downpour in Gaya, no rains in other parts of Bihar

Patna, Aug 24 (PTI) Except for a light downpour in Gaya,major parts of Bihar did not witness any rain today. Gaya recorded 1.6 mm rain in the last 24 hours, a stateMet office bulletin said. There was no report of rain in Patna, Bhagalpur or Purnea,it said. The weather office has forecast generally cloudy skytomorrow with possibility of rain or thunder in Patna andGaya. Maximum temperature in Patna was recorded at 36 deg C. It was 34.3 deg C in Gaya, 35.3 deg C in Bhagalpur and34.9 deg C in Purnea, the bulletin said. With 14 of the Bihar districts witnessing flood condition,absence of rain helped the situation improve. PTI SNS DKBSMJ
