Army Major beaten by an Auto Driver in Bengaluru

Date:

An Indian Army official was dragged out and beaten up on the streets of Bengaluru. The incident took place on Friday, at Kaggadasapura main road, when the 33 year old major was driving his SUV. The car had a Haryana number registration plate, which sparked the auto-driver as he criticised the official by saying he didn’t know how to drive because he was from North India.

This initiated a dialogue, and many other people came in and started damaging the vehicle. The victim was then pulled out of the car and badly beaten.

Murali Kartik, who works at Manyata Tech Park came to help the official and took him to hospital. The men in uniform appreciated Murali’s help, a Wing Commander in the Indian Air Force said, We need to thank the Civilian who helped our friend, else the condition would have been more critical.

The army officials have to travel across the country, with the type of duty they have, it makes them vulnerable to incidents like these. Bengaluru is known to be a cosmopolitan city, such incidents like create an ice wall for the integrity of the country.
