Virtuo is a new Paris-based startup which aims to make luxury car rental at railway stations and airports hustle-free .
Targeted at Uber, Avis, Europcar, and Hertz, they have their own fleet of Mercedes cars.
Vituo’s mobile app claims to account registration under 5 minutes with account creation and credit card information along with scanning your identity card and driving licence. To detect any fraud they use facial detection technology .
In addition, the app will help you navigate where the Virtuo cars are parked. Then you are asked to download a ‘digital key ‘ which helps you to unlock the car using the app.
Before driving away you are asked to inspect the vehicle and validate its associated damage report.Presuming there is any prior damage you are asked to ctake the photot and upload it on the app.
The self-service factor helps as no check-in desks are required that are typically staffed by competitors.
As of now it caters a number of train stations in Paris (Gare du Nord,Gare de Lyon,Gare Montparnasse) and at airports Charles de Gaulle and Place de la Madeleine in the heart of French capital .In the next few weeks it will add two other airports Paris Orly and Nice Cote d’ Azur.
