New Delhi: In an anti-terror operation carried out by National Investigation Agency (NIA), 14 suspected terrorists have been arrested from across the nation. National capital Delhi and other cities have been put on high alert ahead of Republic Day.
Reports suggest that six terror suspects have been arrested in Karnataka, while four in Hyderabad and two each from Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh.
Some of those arrested are students while the others are employees in various companies.
The NIA is reportedly also looking for five more suspects in Hyderabad.
According to sources all of them had been under surveillance for over six months now and the arrests were made amid indications that an ISIS network is coming up across the country.
Earlier on Wednesday, four men were arrested from Uttarakhand for alleged links to the ISIS. They had been under surveillance for visiting ISIS propagandist sites.
Sources say that the suspects arrested had also done recce of some malls in the Delhi NCR area.
