On the occasion of the 131st birth anniversary of India’s first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to the leader.
The President, officers and staff paid floral tributes to Prasad at Rashtrapati Bhawan. The Prime Minister tweeted:

Born on December 3, 1884, Prasad was elected the first president of the country on January 26, 1950, and he continued serving in the post till May 14, 1962.
