According to the lastest reports, Indrani Mukherjee the prime accused in Sheena Bora murder case is suffering from dengue and has been rushed to hospital.
Her medical report states that her platelet count has gone down to 64,000. She is under observation and is currently getting treated by a team of doctors at the JJ hospital in Mumbai.
Indrani was supposed to be produced in court on Thursday for obtaining her consent to get her voice samples for CBI probe. But following her illness the jail authorities have informed the court regarding her inability to be present for the hearing. The hearing has now been postponed to October 31st.
Earlier this month, traces of cocaine were found in her urine samples.
The apex investigative agency had informed the court on Wednesday that it had got hold of some call recordings which reportedly featured her voice and therefore Mukerjea’s voice samples were required for verification purposes.
All three accused in the murder case-Indrani, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamwar Rai- are in judicial custody at the moment.
