Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for Andhra Pradesh’s new capital Amravati in Guntur district.
During the foundation stone laying ceremony, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his Telangana counterpart K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Prime Minister Modi also participated in the rituals for foundation laying of the new capital for the state.
Amaravati is set to become Andhra Pradesh’s new capital after 18 centuries.
