The latest flick by Meghna Gulzar, Talvar seems to have opened a fresh can of worms and has once again brought back the unfortunate Aarushi murder case to the limelight which was under the wraps for quite some time now.
The film based on the 2008 Aarushi-Hemraj double-murder-case, seems to have inspired the officer who led the CBI investigation to speak his views to the media for the first time.
Then joint director Arun kumar, who spear-headed the investigation, revealed in a recent interview to a TV news channel that he believes Aarushi’s parents- Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar did not kill their daughter.
In an interview to NDTV, Kumar said that he believes the Talwars are innocent as there was absolutely no way that they could not have gazed the fact that their domestic help Hemraj’s body would not be recovered by the police.
Pointing out the loopholes in the investigation, Kumar also said that had the forensic samples were collected properly the case could have been solved easily.
He also mentioned that it was his theory that the double murder could have been committed by Talwar’s help Krishna as Hemraj had stopped Krishna and Rajkumar when they tried to molest the 14 year old girl.
In another interview to a web news portal, Kumar rejected the honour killing angle and said that there was no concrete evidence to prove that Talwar’s soaked their hands in their own daughter’s blood.
It has been 7 long years and despite various theories and evidences coming into the fray every now and then, the teenaged girl who died an untimely death on the fateful night of May 16, 2008 still awaits justice.
