Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch and Rajouri again

Date:

Srinagar: Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch and Rajouri districts late on Friday night.

Defence sources said Pakistani troops started unprovoked mortar shelling and firing in Sabzian and Balakot sectors of Poonch district and in Hamirpur sector of adjoining Rajauri district.

They said that the Indian Army effectively retaliated to the firing and intermittent exchange of fire lasted until midnight.

However, there is no report of any casualty or injury to the Indian side so far.
