Centre to declare Haridwar, Rishikesh national heritage cities

Rishikesh and Haridwar, cities with religious and spiritual attractions, will soon be conferred with the title of ‘heritage cities’ and as a part of development plans, will get metro rail networks too!

According to a leading daily, soon Rishikesh and Haridwar will be conferred with the title of ‘heritage cities’ and soon the Union tourism ministry will be making the declaration.

Union tourism minister Mahesh Sharma was quoted as saying that funds are being allocated for the development of the two cities, which will also be connected with a metro rail network in the near future, reportedly.

Rishikesh and Haridwar both are one of the best tourists attraction place, and this not the condition for any particular season but throughout the year.

Both of these cities have spiritual ties and therefore the government is also reportedly trying to work upon building a world-class yoga centres as well as spiritual centres for the tourists.
