Her voice can give you goosebumps with its depth and melody. From sensous songs to cheerful ones, her voice does justice to any song. Playback queen, Sunidhi Chauhan who is successful for her versatility and melodious voice is celebrating her 32nd birthday.
She was born to a Gujarati family and was always into singing. Soon after completing her academics, she shifted to Mumbai with her family.
Sunidhi has participated and won many competitions and shows. She got her formal training from none other than Lata Mangeshkar after she had won the ‘Lata Mangeshkar Trophy’ for a music show “Meri Aawaz Suno”.
Her Bollywood journey:
She got her first Bollywood break in ‘Shastra’ and then the journey continued with Gang, ‘Veergati’, ‘Dahek’, ‘Bade Dilwala’, ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat’, ‘Samar’ and Mission Kashmir.
But she became famous and known after ‘Ruki Ruki si Zindagi’ in Ram Gopal Verma’s Mast followed by “Bhaage Re Mann” in Chameli, after which she never had to look back.
Her talent is not just limited to Bollywood but is also sang songs for Punjabi, Tamil, Oriya and various other regional music industries.
The powerful voice has won many Filmfare Awards, Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent and many more.
Life is not always beautiful:
Sunidhi went through a roller coaster ride after marrying Bobby Khan in 2012 against the wishes of her parents. The couple divorced a year later and she finally married her childhood friend Hitesh Sonik.

1. Sunidhi with her dedication and hard work lost 20 kg and revamped herself for the reality show ‘The Voice India’. She wanted to feel light and confident.
2. The queen of melody has a secret desire of acting in films.
3. She admires Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson. Celine Dion and Whitney Houston are her inspiration.
4. Sunidhi Chauhan made her international singing debut with ‘Heartbeat’ along with singing sensation Enrique Iglesias.
5. She has also collaborated with the renowned Pakistani band Junoon and has sung in quite a few Pakistani films like Armaan, which brought her a lot of fame and recognition in the neighbouring country.
6. Sunidhi sang the English song “Reach Out” at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Asian Games at Doha, Qatar.
7. Sunidhi sung for the Hindi-dubbed version of Disney’s movie, High School Musical.
8. Microsoft hired Sunidhi Chauhan to sing the “Windows Vista Song” titled Wow is Now.
9. Sunidhi has studied till 10th standard only.
10. Sunidhi lived with actor Annu Kapoor’s family until her divorce and eventually united with her parents.
