Mercedes rolls out S63 AMG Sedan at Rs 2.53 crore

New Delhi: Mercedes-Benz India, which launched the S500 Coupe and S63 AMG Coupe, on Tuesday rolled out the S63 AMG sedan in the country at Rs. 2.53 crore (ex-showroom, Bangalore).

With this launch, the company has rolled out 10 of the 15 new products promised for this year.

“The new AMG V8 flagship model in the S-Class is a unique package that has no match in the competitive segment. Path breaking technology like Magic Body Control and a gamut of high-end features makes the Mercedes-AMG S 63 one of the most desirable luxury sedans in our range,” Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said in a statement.

“This was a fine instance of MBI’s successful ‘top of the pyramid’ product strategy,” he added.

The Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG sedan is powered with a 5.5-litre V8 Bi-Turbo petrol engine that comes mated to a 7-speed AMG speed-shift sports transmission. It churns out a maximum power of 567bhp and a peak torque of 900Nm.

This performance sedan takes 4.4 seconds to mark 0-100kmph on speedometer. It is capable to attain a top speed of 250kmph. The 4MATIC all-wheel drive system comes as a standard feature.

The new Mercedes-AMG S63 sedan comes with the AMG sports exhaust, Electromechanical power steering, AMG Adaptive Sport Suspension, ESP Curve Dynamic Assist, Red-painted brake calipers and AMG Carbon Ceramic braking system.

The interior of the S63 sedan includes AMG carbon fibre/Black Piano Lacquer wood trim, All-LED interior lighting, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Panorama roof.

The new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG will take on the likes of the Maserati Quattroporte, the BMW 760Li and the Bentley Continental Flying Spur in India. The addition of this car adds to AMGs extensive portfolio in India which includes sports cars, SUVs, Coupes and sedans.
