Mumbai: Bollywood bigwig and India’s biggest superstar, Amitabh Bachchan, has added another feather in his cap.
According to reports, he will now become a commentator for the World Cup’s most aniticipated match, when India takes on Pakistan at The Gabba on February 15.
Bachchan will join India’s 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev and commentary expert Harsha Bhogle as the commentary team for the much-awaited match of the showpiece event.
FIlm-maker R Balki confirming the news. He said that Amitabh’s commetary debut will double as promotion for his movie Shamitabh, besides exciting millions on both sides of the border.
“Mr Bachchan’s voice is the star of my film Shamitabh. The plot revolves around the baritone. There’s nothing that Mr. Bachchan’s voice can’t do. I think two voices, Lata Mangeshkar and Amitabh Bachchan, unite India and Pakistan better than anything else.”
