Gurgaon: Gurgaon Police was kept on its toes for a second straight day following another bomb threat at an office-cum-shopping complex in Gurgaon on Thursday morning but it turned out to be a hoax.
Information was received at 9:23am about a bomb placed in Arcadia Complex in South City Gurgaon, Police Commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk said.
Police immediately swung into action and conducted a drill to deal with the threat call and completely evacuated the complex by 11.25 am, he said, adding that the area was also cordoned off and traffic diverted.
A bomb disposal team, fire brigade and ambulances were rushed to the spot.
Initial investigations revealed it may be a hoax call, Virk said, adding that the caller is likely to be nabbed soon.
A bomb scare on Wednesday at Delhi Metro’s HUDA City Centre station and a commercial complex ‘Vyapar Kendra’ had sent the Gurgaon Police into a tizzy. The hoax call saw metro services being disrupted for nearly two hours at the Gurgaon station.
