Bryan Cranston, an American actor, screenwriter, director, and producer, has won fans portraying quirky as well as negative roles.

His character as the chemistry teacher turned drug king-pin Walter White, aka Heisenberg, has won him recognition all over the world. The actor has won three consecutive “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series” Emmy Awards for the role in Breaking Bad.

 
Early Life

Bryan Lee Cranston was born on 7 March, 1956 in Canoga Park, California. Cranston was raised partly by his grandparents, living on their farm and working with poultry as his father walked out on the family when he was eleven.

A graduate from Canoga Park High School, he earned an associate degree in police science from Los Angeles Valley College in 1976.

Career

Cranston made his acting debut in a United Way television commercial at the age of eight. After college, he started acting in local and regional theaters. By the late 1990s, Cranston had assembled a respectable, low-key career. His credits from this period include recurring parts on Seinfeld (1989-1998) and King of Queens (1998-2007). Additionally, he portrayed an American colonel in Saving Private Ryan (1998).

In 2000, Cranston landed a leading role on the comedy series “Malcolm in the Middle” (2000-2006). He directed several episodes of the show and received three Emmy nominations for his performance.

From 2008 to 2013, Cranston starred in the AMC series “Breaking Bad”. His work on the series was met with widespread critical acclaim

In 2012, he had supporting roles in “John Carter”, “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted”, and a major role in the hostage drama “Argo”. All of them were hits.
