India is a vast country and offers many breathtaking destinations for travellers. Read on to find out which places are the most popular amongst the young!

Goa: Adventure sports, night life, food, music, and serenity, Goa has it all. Most Indian students visit Goa at least once during their Undergraduate years, irrespective of which part of the country or the world they’re studying in. Goa plays host to youth festivals and popular music festivals such as Sunburn quite frequently, further adding to its charm. One can go scuba diving, parasailing, water skiing, snorkelling, and do much more in Goa. The beautiful Churches, specially the Bom Jesus Basilica and the Se Cathedral, offer a glimpse into Christian history.  Goa is undoubtedly the favourite travel destination for the young in India.

Leh: Leh is perhaps the most popular tourist destination in North India. It is the perfect destination for Biking expeditions and camping trips. The challenging weather conditions and the high risk drive offer an adrenalin rush that nothing else can compare to. It offers the opportunity to delve into Buddhist culture and sample Tibetan cuisine. One can also gain insight about high altitude warfare at the War Museum run by the Indian Army. White water rafting in the Indus River should not be missed either.

Kasol: A quiet town in Himachal Pradesh, Kasol offers options for all types of holidays, whether it’s a laidback getaway or an adventure trip. There are quite a few treks to villages located nearby, such as Kheer Ganga and Tosh, ranging from a few hours to a few days. Kasol has a considerable amount of Israelis living in or visiting the place at all times, so you’ll find little cafes and bakery’s serving the yummiest treats. The landscape is punctuated with rock cliffs, hot water springs and waterfalls, which make for an amazing view, and also an enriching experience, should you choose to dive in.

Khandala-Lonavla: Beautiful hill stations located less than a hundred kilometres away from the cities of Mumbai and Pune,  Khandala and Lonavla are extremely popular with students and professionals alike. Besides paragliding and trekking expeditions during the monsoon, the scenic lakes and cliff-tops are major crowd pullers. The scenic drives to these destinations are an experience that shouldn’t be missed.
