E-Office reaches MEA

New Delhi: Ministry of External Affairs Foreign Secretary Smt. Sujhata Singh has launched an e-Office in the Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday. She added her digital signature to a proposal submitted electronically seeking her approval for implementation of e-Office in the Ministry.

E-Office is a Mission Mode Project under National e-Governance Plan. The objective of the project is to move towards less paper and more efficient offices in the Government. E-Office product suite has been developed by NIC.

With the formal inauguration by FS, the Administration Division in the Ministry would begin electronic processing of files with immediate effect. The e-Office would be gradually rolled out to the other Divisions in the Ministry after its successful implementation in the Administration Division and Indian Missions and Posts subsequently.​
