The Lego Story is a short film on the history of the company that made the name most synonymous with construction toys. It tells of Lego’s beginning and the trials and setbacks presented on its way of success.
The Lego Group began in the workshop of Ole Kirk Christiansen (born 7 April 1891), a carpenter from Billund, Denmark, who began making wooden toys in 1932. The group began manufacturing interlocking toy bricks in 1949.
As of 2013, around 560 billion Lego parts had been produced.
