Shubham Banerjee, a grade seven student in Santa Clara, California, used a Lego Mindstorms kit and added $5 worth of parts to create what he calls a Braigo. His Braigo costs about $349 to make.

4. Last week, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to ban the sale of plastic water bottles in all public buildings and outdoor spaces. The city is now the largest in the U.S. to take such a stand on bottled water. Plastic ruins our environment and efforts to rid our planet with the toxin is necessary.

5. Scientists have turned to the animal world for inspiration for their latest robot designs. They have made robots inspired by ants, bulls, cheetahs and even fleas.
