Washington: While writing an “effective” email, it is important that the sender considers the way the reader will perceive the note.
The things to keep in mind in do’s are to keep the mail precise and to the point, it’s important to respect the readers time, restrict the mail to only one topic, give an appropriate subject so the reader can prioritize, be courteous and never write anything personal or incriminating.
On the other hand, don’t introduce new topics in the middle of the email, don’t unnecessarily add people to the email and don’t forget to proofread. Also, if an issue can be resolved through a simple phone call then skip the formality of writing an email.
