20 Things to do in your 20s

Life in your 20s is quite the experience. It could be a great phase to take chances and travel the world or become an entrepreneur, it really is the time to live with no regrets.

1. Rent a flat with your friends- One of your first steps towards independence and just an experience that promises to be a lot of fun.

2. Go backpacking across a continent- It will be the experience of a lifetime and you will have memories that will stick with you for the rest of your life.

3. Work a summer abroad- Not only will you learn a lot and appreciate a different culture, it will improve your confidence as well as your CV.

4. Go on a road trip to somewhere amazing- Just pick a place on the map, find something there to see and take a few of your friends along for the ride.

5. Attend a festival like Glastonbury – You’ll be surrounded by similar people and enjoy some of the best live music on offer.

6. Buy a season ticket for somewhere- Can be football, the theatre or an amusement park, it doesn’t matter.

7. Pay off any student loans you might have- The first step to financial independence is to get rid of any outstanding debt you might have from college.

8. Volunteer for a cause or charity you believe in- A greatly satisfying feeling to know that you might be making a difference, however small it may be.

9. Start a blog- Share your views with people around the world, you might have some good ideas no one has thought of yet.

10. Try picking up a new language- It will help you communicate better with the people around and an easy way to impress people.

11. Invest in the stock market- This will help you with financial management and hopefully earn you a little bit of money.

12. Take an internship in a new field of work- Will help you decide whether you’re making the right career decision and leave you with no doubts.

13. Spend 5 days camping in the wilderness without technology- Enjoy the outdoors and realise just how big a role technology plays in your life.

14. Try a new sport- Do this while you’re still young and when your body can still cope, the benefits will be numerous in the long run.

15. Own a pet and look after it- Learn to be responsible for someone besides yourself

16. Train for a marathon- Take part in your city’s local marathon and try get in better shape in the process.

17. Cook something new every single day for 30 days- Have some fun while hopefully improving your culinary skills for the future, everyone likes a good cook.

18. Win an award- Doesn’t matter what it is, strive for something and enjoy the satisfaction of achieving it.

19. Join a team- Can be a sports team or project team at work; you will enjoy the camaraderie of belonging in a group.

20. Determine your life goals- How you spend your 20s will define you, make sure this time is not wasted and figure out what it is you want from life.
