Nikhil Kumar to contest Lok Sabha polls

Nikhil Kumar is all set to resign as Governor of Kerala on Feb 21. He would contest Lok Sabha elections as Congress candidate from Aurangabad constituency in Bihar.

72-year-old Nikhil, is a retired Indian Police Service Officer, he has served as the Commissioner of Police, New Delhi. He has also served as the Chief of National Security Guards

Nikhil Kumar had assumed office as Kerala Governor on March 23, 2013, prior to which he was Governor of Nagaland.
