Kathmandu: Sushil Koirala has been elected as Nepal’s Prime Minister and is expected to be sworn in on Wednesday. The 75-year-old promised to steer through a long-delayed new Constitution within a year.
Koirala won 405 out of 553 votes, after winning the support of the Unified Marxist-Leninist (UML). He told the assembly that the impoverished nation would rely on its two giant neighbours, China and India to complete its responsibilities.
