The Modi you did not know!

1. New Delhi: Did prime ministerial aspirant Narendra Modi  ever marry, and then divorced. The speculation has been rife but now an interview to an English daily has interviewed Modi’s former wife. Since there was no denial from Modi, one assumes Jashodaben, 62, a retired school teacher was married to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi when she was 17 — and separated after about three years.

A page from her autobiography that was never written would read like this:  

I had lost my mother when I was two years old and I lost my father two years after I started studying again and was in class 10. However, once I started my studies, I started to enjoy learning and did my SSC in 1974, and went on to complete my teachers training in 1976 and became a teacher in 1978.

She enjoyed teaching and taught classes from the first to fifth grade and taught all subjects. She mostly start her day by 4 am and begin with prayers to Ambe Ma (Goddess Durga). She spend all her time in Bhakti (prayer). She live with her elder brother Ashok Modi who lives in Unjha but she kept visiting the home of her other brother who lives in Brahman Vada near Unjha. “I feel I have got good brothers who have supported me.”
