AAP alleges BJP hand in Delhi govt topple bid

Date:

New Delhi: In a startling disclosure, Aam Aadmi Party alleged that a BJP leader offered one of its MLA, a bribe of 20 crore to support a BJP government in Delhi. A charge that was stoutly denied by the BJP.

“One of the men called me and said ‘we are Modi’s people’. If you break away with nine people and form a new party, you can take power with BJP support. We will make you Chief Minister. They said we will also give you 20-20. I asked, 20 lakhs? They said no, 20 crores,” said AAP MLA Madan Lal, addressing the press conference.

Reacting to the charges put up by AAP, senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley came out strongly and called the allegations to be rubbish and asked whether they could name the person. “Rubbish claims by AAP. AAP’s alternative Politics includes a fundamental right to falsehood and lies,” tweeted Jaitley.

AAP has accused Narendra Modi and Arun Jaitley of conspiring to bring down Kejriwal’s month-long government.
