FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the claim and found it to be false.

Firstly, with some keywords from the viral message, we ran a Google search but found no media report regarding the claim.

Subsequently, we ran a Reverse Image Search of the picture being shared with the message and found an article by Hindustan Times, dated June 2018, featuring the same image with a caption “Eight people have been nabbed on charges of attacking a couple over an alleged affair.” The image was credited to news agency PTI.

The same image is featured in an article by India TV.

On further investigation, we found a fact check regarding the same post by government’s nodal agency, PIB, refuting the news of mass resignation by 200 cops.

Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the message of 200 Delhi cops’ mass resignation is false.
