Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Allows 100% Occupancy In Cinema Halls

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday announced to allow full occupancy in cinema halls in the state.

The CM made the announcement during the inauguration of the Kolkata Film Festival.

“Due to the pandemic, only 50 per cent capacity was allowed. But I will ask the Chief Secretary to issue a notification allowing 100 per cent occupancy,” she announced.

Earlier, Tamil Nadu state government had also issued an order stating that theatres in Tamil Nadu can operate with 100 per cent occupancy.
