Gurugram district administration on Friday made it mandatory to wear masks for people while venturing out of houses in view of the coronavirus outbreak.
According to the administration order, all the people will have to wear masks in places like streets, hospital, offices, market etc. Even wearing a mask while travelling in a personal vehicle or government vehicle has been made mandatory.

All officers and employees have also been ordered not to attend the meeting without wearing masks. Action will be taken against those who disobey these orders under section 188 of IPC.
The administration has also released containment orders in select areas of the city to ensure social distancing and prevent further spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier, other states/UTs such as Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan have also made it compulsory to wear masks for the people in public spaces.
