COVID-19: Faridabad asks commercial establishments to shut down till March 31

On Wednesday, the Faridabad district administration, following their counterparts in Gurugram, advised all commercial establishments in the district to stay shut till March 31, in view of the deadly coronavirus.

The order issued by the District Magistrate has been issued under The Haryana Epidemic Act, COVID-19 Regulations 2020.

The district is known as a IT hub and has many established factories and manufacturing facilities. It is a traditional economic hub of Haryana.

On Tuesday, the Gurugram District authorities had issued a similar circular asking corporate organisations to offer their employees, the option of working from home.

The state government had earlier shut down all Malls, educational institutes and banned public gathering due to the Coronavirus cases in the state.
